12 murders since the beginning of the year, five unsolved

The first murder in 2015 was occurred in Ostros near Bar, on March 12th when Nazim Ljikovic (37) shot his wife Veljdeta Ljikovic (26) dead. After killing his wife, Ljikovic tried to escape, but he was arrested the same evening.

Montenegrin public was shocked by an unprecedented murder when Zeljko Bokan (65) was killed in his house in the settlement of Susanj near Bar, in the night between March 15th and 16th. During the autopsy, it was concluded that a murderer cut Bokan’s throat by a glass object. Bokan was found in a pool of blood and his house was ransacked, indicating that there was a burglary. Fifteen days later, on March 27th, Rufin Vujovic (43), Renato Berisic (24) and Anela Koljenovic (20) from Podgorica were arrested on suspicion of killing Bokan. Rufin Vujovic had earlier been sentenced to several years in prison for murdering his mother, who was killed with an axe in 2002. After killing his mother, Vujovic tied legs and arms of the body, wrapped the head with a cloth and scotch tape and put the body in the freezer.

Jugoslav Perovic (49) from Niksic was arrested on March 19th on suspicion of having killed Dragana Pajovic (29) from Pljevlja, in the motel “Apolon” two days earlier.

Sasa Markovic (48), former MP of the Liberal Alliance of Montenegro (LSCG) was murdered in Budva on April 17th. His murder has not been resolved yet. Markovic was shot dead while he was sitting in his car. The media reported that he was killed by mistake, and that the real target of the killer was his best man,  Goran Djurickovic, who was killed last night in Budva.

Body of Natasa Todorovic (19) from Budva was found in a car in the park of Milocer in Budva, on June 10th, at about 9.30PM. It is suspected that she was killed by a young man Milos Mitrovic (20) from Budva, who committed suicide after that. However, the family of Milos Mitrovic claims they had  a video from the site, which was submitted to the police. Milos allegedly did not kill his girlfriend Natasha Todorovic – she actually pulled the trigger. The investigation will determine whether she did it accidentally or intentionally.

Ivan Lopicic (27) from Podgorica, who lived in Kotor, was killed in the night between June 24th and 25th, in the settlement of Sveta Vraca in Kotor. His murder has not been solved.

Luka Milic from Podgorica was killed on June 30th, at about 11PM, in the restaurant “Bird of Paradise” (“Rajska ptica”) in Podgorica. As the police determined during the investigation, Nemanja Vidmar killed him. Vidmar was arrested and he has been in the Institute for Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions in Spuz.

Aleksandar Brajovic (47) from Podgorica was killed on August 15th in the settlement of Zabjelo in Podgorica. Two persons riding a motorbike shot him while he was in his car. His murder has also been unsolved.

Another unsolved murder occurred in Ulcinj on September 15th. Pensioner Stana Bozovic (67) was found dead in her family home in the village of Meterizi near Ulcinj. Police suspect that before the murder, the woman was tortured and murdered for gain.

Marko Mitrovic (49) from Budva was arrested on suspicion of having killed his fellow citizen Jovo Jovanovic (35) on September 27th. Jovanovic’s body was found on Pastrovska Mount.

On October 2nd, police arrested Zarko Pavicevic (73) from Niksic, on suspicion that he had killed his own brother, a retired surgeon, Rajko Pavicevic (75). Zarko is suspected of having caused several fatal injuries in the head and neck brother with a blunt object.

Last night in Budva at about 8.15PM, Goran Djurickovic was killed. He was killed in the garden of his café “Old Fisherman’s Pub”, in the Old Town of Budva.

The media previously published that Djurickovic reportedly was a real target when Sasa Markovic was killed.
