French ambassador to Montenegro Christine Toudic said that all opposition parties in Montenegro should acknowledge the parliamentary elections result, Pobjeda newspaper carried. She also said they should all return to Parliament and participate in its work.
Toudic said that all circumstances on the election day had to be thoroughly investigated.
“All the opposition parties should recognise the election results and participate in Parliament work. In this situation, it is essential to re-establish dialogue. The European Union, as it pointed out several times, isn’t looking with benevolent eyes on the opposition’s boycott. In any case, the majority of MPs are in the Parliament and they are able to do their job, as long as a qualified majority is required to adopt decisions,” Toudic told Pobjeda.
