Montenegro goes from 76th to 61st on the list of corruption perception

 

CPI for Montenegro was 44, meaning that it progressed from the previous 76th ranking.

Interestingly, Italy was also ranked 61th in Transparency International’s report.

Looking at the former Yugoslavia region, Kosovo is the most corrupt. The least corrupt is Slovenia, followed by Croatia, Macedonia and Montenegro, and then Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.

At the very top, Scandinavian countries are percieved as least corrupt, with Denmark in the first place.

Finland is the runner up, followe by Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.

 

 

No surprise with states suffering of most corruption: Somalia, North Korea, Sudan and Afghanistan.

Russia, whose leader Vladimir Putin is being accused by the West of high-level corruption, ranked 119th.

The Corruption Perceptions Index began to be implemented in 1995 and is conceived as a tool for raising awareness of the problem of corruption at the global level.
