Former Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic presented today the political programme of the Party of the European Path (SEP) and said that they are committed to the European path of Montenegro. He claims that they are no one’s project, a successor, or a political offshoot, and adds that their view is a view into the future.
“This is the party of every member of the Initiative Committee, not the party of Dusko Markovic. I’m just one of the founders and everyone is that driving force. In recent years, the country has been managed incompetently and irresponsibly. All this together has created an atmosphere of mistrust. State institutions are losing strength. The majority of citizens witness social devastation. Our doors are open to all those who, in the last elections, did not recognize those who to trust, but also to all those who were let down by those they voted in favour of. We are committed to the European path of Montenegro”, Markovic said at the presentation of the party.
According to him, they do not believe that reconciliation is necessary in Montenegro, as the government says.
“Strengthening reconciliation and emphasizing guilt for one side. We will try to find the best solutions in dialogue. Montenegro is not an isolated island. Today, no one is protected from the growing threats. Montenegro needs stability, responsibility. The times we live in demand responsible decision makers. We will work for a better Montenegro than the one we live in today. This is a European party of democratic orientation”, he said, among other things.
